Mr. Didi Ndiomu, a University of Maiduguri graduate, began his career in 1994 at Binan Nigeria Limited, specializing in crude oil logistics. Rising to General Manager within nine years, he founded Bronwen Energy Trading Limited, growing it into a leading indigenous petroleum trading company with an annual turnover over USD$2 billion. Passionate about African industrial transformation, he led Quinn McGrath Group’s acquisition of Nigerian Machine Tools Limited in 2007, propelling it to ISO certification and OEM approval, shaping Nigeria’s engineering industry.
Under Mr. Ndiomu’s leadership, NMTL achieved ISO certification in 2014 and secured its first OEM approval in 2015 from Shell for stud bolts and nuts. Subsequently, Exxon Mobil and Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas also approved NMTL as an OEM. In 2017, Shell granted OEM status for Flanges, leading to NMTL’s inclusion in TAMAP in 2021 and Bolts in 2022. Chevron Nigeria and Total Energies followed suit in 2018 and 2020, respectively. Widely recognized for diversifying NMTL, Mr. Ndiomu spearheaded NMT Protective Solutions, a subsidiary providing top-notch personal protective equipment with international certifications.
In 2017, Mr. Ndiomu strategically positioned Quinn McGrath Group in Nigeria’s agribusiness sector through Quinn McGrath Farms and Food Limited, making substantial investments in the agriculture value chain, with over 3,000 hectares dedicated to animal husbandry and farming. His diverse business acumen is evident in directorial roles across various companies, showcasing a commitment to knowledge acquisition and contributing to Nigeria’s agricultural renaissance.
